Everyone seeks healing in some shape or form on a regular basis. We seek physical healing when we are injured or sick. We seek healing of our hearts when we lose a loved one, when we are hurt by another, or when a relationship ends. We seek healing when tragedy strikes. We seek healing of our soul when we have strayed from our faith. The Good news is that God is available to help us in all of these situations. Jesus is the Great Physician!
James 5:14-15 – Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Jeremiah 17:14 – Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. Hosea 14:4 – I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, For My anger has turned away from him. Psalm 147:3 – He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Matthew 10:8 – Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
While he is capable, God does not promise to immediately heal us. However, He does promise to provide us rest during our journey to healing. Come visit our church and see for yourself. We are the church that is known for “Healing on the Hill.” We are the Church of St Peter & St Paul.
